CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
General
1. The aim of the premises shall be to ensure the people of Foxhole or surrounding areas are able to use their community centre with the knowledge that they are in a safe environment whilst making sure they respect the surrounding area and neighbours of the centre.
2. Anyone not adhering to the committee's policy shall not be allowed to hire the centre.
3. The committee shall monitor any such functions.
The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
1. There shall be a good liaison with community officers, who shall be kept well informed to any pending social disorder.
2. There shall be adequate signs reminding the hirers and guests about possible anti social behaviour, public order offences and criminal activity, displayed at the community centre.
Public Safety
1. Fire exits must be clearly signed.
2. Exterior lights shall be displayed for arrival and departure.
3. Public health and safety must be paramount to the association.
4.. The policy shall be to deal with any health and safety needs straight away.
5. The provision of first aid boxes and their whereabouts must be clearly signed.
6. Fire escapes and fire drill must be clearly marked.
7. The maximum capacity of 225 people shall be strictly adhered to.
The Prevention of Public Nuisance
1. Hirers shall be informed on booking form and verbally to respect neighbours during and after any function.
2. Hirers shall remove their own refuse.
3. The provision of first aid boxes and their whereabouts must be clearly signed.
4. Any such private parties at the centre shall be brought to the notice of the local community police officers.
5. During functions doors and windows shall be kept closed and noise levels monitored.
6. Noise or vibration shall not emanate from the premises such as to cause persons in the neighbourhood to be unreasonably disturbed. Noise should not be audible within any noise sensitive premises with windows open for normal ventilation especially after 11pm. The criteria applied, from boundary to nearest residential property, are: i.e. semis and terraced properties) to make further assessments from within the residential property.
7. Doors and windows shall be kept shut during amplified entertainment to reduce noise breakout. A management scheme shall be in place to ensure this situation remains.
The Protection of Children from Harm
1. Anyone who has dealings with children at any official booking must have CRB clearance i.e. youth club, Robert Owen Foundation etc.
2. The showing of film, videos or DVD shall be issued by the British Board of Film Classification as shall any TV broadcasts watched.
3. Where there are functions for children only, adequate adult supervision shall be in place.
