General
1 Only members of the club and their signed in guests must be permitted on the premises and notices must displayed to this effect.
2 Members must be responsible for their guests at all times and shall be accountable to the committee for their behaviour.
3 Members and their guests shall be required to act in a manner appropriate to a premises situated on a National Health Service Site.
The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
4 The premises shall be covered externally by CCTV at all times and footage monitored.
5 The interior of the premises must be covered by a CCTV video recording system, which must be installed and maintained by the club. Tapes must run for 24 hours and be retained for 14 days before being reused.
6 External security lighting must be fitted and maintained.
7 The bar area and gambling machines shall be secured by means of steel shutters at the end of each days trading and before the premises are closed.
8 The premises shall be alarmed when unoccupied. In the event of an alarm sounding hospital security patrols shall be alerted in the first instance.
Public Safety
9 Fire extinguishers must be provided and maintained.
10 Emergency lighting must be in place.
11 The premises shall be fitted with a smoke extraction/ventilation system.
12 A first aid kit must be available at all times.
The Prevention of Public Nuisance
13 When the entertainment provided includes the use of amplified music all windows must be kept shut.
14 A free phone taxi shall be available for members leaving the premises.
15 A lobby shall be available for those waiting for transport.
16 Deliveries to the premises must be conducted between 08:00hrs and 17:00hrs from Monday to Saturday.
17 The bottle banks situated in the clubs car park must only be used by staff between 09:00hrs and 17:00hrs.
18 All refuse must be stored in a secure container and emptied regularly.
The Protection of Children from Harm
19 The sale of alcohol to any person under the age of 18 is prohibited.
20 NHS employees aged 16 or 17 and members of the club must not be served alcohol at any time.
21 Cigarette vending machines and gambling machines must be situated in full view of the bar and suitable notices must be displayed detailing the applicable age limits for these machines.
4. Children must not be permitted to sit at the bar and must remain in an area up to 5 metres away.
