General
1 Access must be available for emergency vehicles.
2 Windows shall be double-glazed to reduce noise.
3 Extractor fan ventilation shall be available.
4 Facilities and entrance shall be provided for disabled.
5 Sanitary facilities, electrical and gas fittings must be regularly maintained.
6 A caretaker shall be employed to clean the area and ensure security.
The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
7 Security shall be checked daily.
8 Bookings for non-church events shall be dealt with by the hall booking secretary and the conditions of the let explained.
9 Suitable signage must be displayed stating that intoxicating liquor must not be sold on the premises.
Public Safety
10 The entrance and outside steps shall be lit by sensor lights.
11 All curtains and fittings shall be flame retardant.
12 Fire safety equipment must be provided and maintained.
13 A first aid box with a record of accident book must be provided.
14 ‘No Smoking’ signs must be prominently displayed.
15 Suitable signage must be displayed stating that children and unauthorised persons may not climb on the stage.
The Prevention of Public Nuisance
16 Functions must end at 23:00hrs.
17 Rubbish must be removed by the client or stored within the premises until the caretaker can deal with it.
18 Groups renting the hall must be requested to leave the premises quietly.
The Protection of Children from Harm
19 All heaters must be protected with wire mesh.
20 Children must not be permitted in the kitchen without adult supervision.
21 Children must not be permitted to climb on the stage.
22 A member of the Church shall be a Child Protection Officer
23 Adults who organise groups for children must be cleared under the Child Protection Act
