Restrictions transferred from the Club Premises Certificate
Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied except during permitted hours.
The above restriction does not prohibit:
(a) during the first twenty minutes after the above hours, the taking of the alcohol from the premises, unless the alcohol is supplied or taken in an open vessel;
(b) the ordering of alcohol to be consumed off the premises, or the despatch by the vendor of the alcohol so ordered;
(c) the sale of alcohol to a trader or club for the purposes of the trade or club;
(d) the sale or supply of alcohol to any canteen or mess, being a canteen in which the sale or supply of alcohol is carried out under the authority of the Secretary of State or an authorised mess of members of Her Majesty’s naval, military or air forces;
Alcohol shall not be sold in an open container or be consumed on the licensed premises.
Credit Sales
Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied unless it is paid for before or at the time when it is sold or supplied, except alcohol sold or supplied to a canteen or mess.
General
1 No person may join the club without being proposed by a member, approved by the committee and their application being made available for the scrutiny of all other members.
2 Alcohol must not be supplied or intended to be supplied to members on the premises otherwise than by or on behalf of the club.
3 Arrangements must not be made or intended to be made for any person to receive at the expense of the club any commission percentage or similar payment on, or with reference to, purchases of alcohol by the club.
The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
4 A notice must be posted on the club’s notice board indicating the hours during which licensable activities are permitted.
5 Persons under the age of 18 must not be admissible as members.
6 Entry to the club shall be controlled by a door entry system, which allows only bona fide members entry through use of a key card. Other persons must announce themselves using the intercom, which shall be monitored by CCTV.
7 Staff must be instructed not to serve anyone who is not a member.
8 Members shall be discouraged from drinking directly from bottles.
Public Safety
9 Adequate lighting must be provided for all areas.
10 All exits must be kept free from obstruction at all times.
11 Ashtrays shall be regularly emptied.
12 Tables must be regularly cleared of glasses.
13 Dancing must be restricted to the dance floor.
The Prevention of Public Nuisance
14 Noise levels within the premises resulting from the operation of any musical instrument or amplified equipment must be regulated so as to protect the hearing of any employee therein.
15 The placing of refuse, such as bottles, into receptacles outside the premises must take place at times that will prevent disturbance to nearby properties.
16 Deliveries of kegs, bottles, food or other materials necessary for the operation of the business must be carried out at such a time or in such a manner so as not to cause a nuisance and disturbance to nearby residents.
17 Suitable signage must be displayed requesting the co-operation of patrons in particular in making as little noise as possible when leaving the premises.
The Protection of Children from Harm
1. The rules of the club prohibit persons under the age of 18 joining.
