General
1. All members shall adhere to strict codes of conduct.
The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
1. An established Management Committee must enforce strict practices to guarantee the safety of its members and guests.
2. A full time Club Manager must be responsible for the day to day operation and socials shall be well run with established procedures.
3. Access to the Club shall be strictly by key-holders.
4. All employees must be aged 18 or over.
5. Strict Rules, Bye-Laws and Club Management procedures shall govern the prevention of any form of crime and disorder.
Public Safety
1. The Club must have a full security system, a fire alarm system and must have an approved full risk assessment.
2. The fire safety measures with which the premises are provided shall be maintained in full working order.
3. Equipment shall be regularly professionally serviced and the adequacy shall be determined on a regular basis by implementing and updating the fire risk assessment.
4. A register of dates for detector and sounder tests shall be maintained.
5. The Management Committee shall fully understand that the safety of the occupants is also influenced by numbers of persons present, their disposition and the activities taking place and shall therefore undertake to maintain a safe occupancy level.
The Prevention of Public Nuisance
1. Day to day activities of the Club shall be managed by the Club Manager. These activities shall be usually restricted to snooker, bridge playing with lunchtime and evening diners. Occasional matures socials shall be planned.
2. Club membership shall be regulated by the Management Committee.
3. Entry must be strictly limited to Club members and their 'signed in' guests.
4. Noise levels shall be modest in the extreme and in keeping with the local environment.
5. Dispersal shall always be calm and normally from the front entrance and car park.
6. Refuse and bottle disposal shall be always carried out during the daytime.
The Protection of Children from Harm
1. No person under the age of 18 shall be permitted to join the Club.
2. Young family members shall be permitted to attend lunch and dinner as long as they are in the company of a Club member - normally a parent or grandparent.
3. The sale of alcohol to anyone under the age of 18 must be forbidden.
4. Cigarettes and cigars must not be sold.
