Restrictions transferred from the Club Premises Certificate
Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied except during permitted hours.
The above restriction does not prohibit:
(a) during the first twenty minutes after the above hours, the taking of the alcohol from the premises, unless the alcohol is supplied or taken in an open vessel;
(b) the ordering of alcohol to be consumed off the premises, or the despatch by the vendor of the alcohol so ordered;
(c) the sale of alcohol to a trader or club for the purposes of the trade or club;
(d) the sale or supply of alcohol to any canteen or mess, being a canteen in which the sale or supply of alcohol is carried out under the authority of the Secretary of State or an authorised mess of members of Her Majesty’s naval, military or air forces;
Alcohol shall not be sold in an open container or be consumed on the licensed premises.
Credit Sales
Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied unless it is paid for before or at the time when it is sold or supplied, except alcohol sold or supplied to a canteen or mess.
General
1 Persons may not be admitted to membership, or be admitted as candidates for membership without an interval of at least two days between their nomination or application for membership and their admission.
2 The supply of alcohol must be managed by a committee whose members:
() Must be members of the club
(b) Must have attained the age of 18 years
(c) Must have been elected by members of the club.
3. Alcohol must not be supplied or intended to be supplied to members on the premises otherwise than by or on behalf of the club.
The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
1 As far as is practical persons on or leaving the premises and using adjacent car parks and highways must be reminded to conduct themselves in an orderly manner and not in any way to cause annoyance to residents and persons passing by.
2 CCTV must be in operation 24 hours a day and maintained in good working order.
3 Bar staff must be suitably trained to prevent the sale of alcohol to under 18’s.
4 Regular glass and bottle collection must be conducted throughout the premises.
5 Persons must not be permitted to leave the premises with any glass or bottles which belong to the premises.
Public Safety
6 The premises must be regularly maintained to prevent risk to the public.
7 All activities must take place within the club boundaries and must not impinge on the public domain.
8 All parts of the premises and all fittings and apparatus therein must be maintained in good and safe order at all times.
9 Exit routes must remain free from obstruction at all times.
The Prevention of Public Nuisance
10 Noise or vibration must not emanate from the premises such as to cause persons in the neighbourhood to be unreasonably disturbed.
11 A prominent, clear and legible notice must be displayed at the exits requesting patrons to respect the needs of local residents and to leave the premises and the area quietly.
12 Deliveries of kegs, bottles, food or other materials necessary for the operation of the club must be carried out at such a time and in such a manner as to prevent nuisance and disturbance to nearby residents.
The Protection of Children from Harm
13 No children under the age of 7 years must be admitted to the club unless accompanied by a responsible adult.
14 Children between the ages of 7 and 17 may be admitted to membership of the club under a process of application and approval as set out in the club rules.
15 Children (non-members) between 7 and 17 must only be admitted to the club if accompanied by a responsible adult.
4. Children under the age of 16 must not have access to the main bar.
