CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
General
1. A clear and legible notice must be displayed outside the premises indicating the normal hours during which licensable activities are permitted and any restrictions on the admission of children.
2. Valid risk assessments and inspections must be carried out.
The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
1. The maximum occupancy, set by the fire authority at 70, must be adhered to.
2. A signing in system must be used to monitor numbers and be available for use in an emergency.
3. Orderly conduct must be actively encouraged.
4. CCTV must be provided to cover the main stairwell.
5. The ratio of staff to users must be appropriate.
6. Alcohol, smoking and drugs are prohibited on the premises. Staff must regularly check toilets to check compliance.
7. Persons under the influence of drugs or alcohol must be dealt with appropriately, such as parental or police involvement.
8. Supervision must be provided at the end of sessions to ensure a disciplined exit from the premises.
Public Safety
1. Emergency lighting must be tested once a month and logged.
2. All electrical equipment must be PAT tested annually. Management checks must be conducted regularly.
3. Fire extinguishers must be checked annually and serviced.
4. All access and exits must be regularly inspected to ensure that they are safe and free from obstruction.
5. Staff must be regularly reminded of the emergency drill.
6. A safe level of occupancy must be maintained.
7. A first aid box must be available with at least one first aid appointed person present per session.
8. Emergency contact details of children and young people must be logged and registered under Data Protection.
9. The premises must be closed when maintenance is undertaken.
10. Smoking is prohibited on the premises.
The Prevention of Public Nuisance
1. Noise or vibration from the premises must be controlled to ensure that people in the neighbourhood are not unreasonably disturbed.
2. Volume must by controlled by those in charge of any activity.
3. Suitable signage must be displayed reminding those attending to respect the needs of local residents and to leave quietly.
4. Management must operate supervision to encourage those attending to respect the needs of local residents and to leave quietly.
5. All refuse must be disposed of in a way that does not disturb nearby properties.
6. Any bright or flashing light must be used sensitively.
The Protection of Children from Harm
1. Activities must operate under the Child Protection Policy of the premises.
2. All staff must have enhanced CRB disclosure checks.
3. Film classifications must be adhered to.
4. Adult to child ratios must be at a minimum level of 1 to 15.
5. The volume of music must be controlled so as not to be excessive.
