The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
1. There shall be a clear and legible notice outside the premises stating the normal hours under the terms of the Premises Licence during which licensable activities are permitted.
2. As far as is practical persons on or leaving the premises and using adjacent car parks and highways shall be reminded to conduct themselves in an orderly manner and not in any way cause annoyance to residents or persons passing by.
3. There shall be provision of 3 external colour CCTV cameras covering the exterior of the premises as marked on the plan, and 5 internal cameras. These are currently installed and positioned in agreement with Police Licensing. Recording shall be by hard disc movement activated (event recording and recordings shall be retained for a minimum number of days and made available to the police on request. Recordings shall be to an evidential standard.
4. The premises shall be a member of NiteNet.
5. All drinking glasses in which drinks are provided shall be made of plastic or toughened glass.
6. Children shall only be admitted in the company of a responsible adult.
7. Only photo identification shall be accepted to prevent persons under the age of 18 attempting to purchase alcohol, and bar staff shall be suitably trained to prevent the potential sale of alcohol to under 18's.
8. There shall be regular glass and bottle collection throughout the hours the premises are in operation and no person shall be permitted to leave the premises with any glass or bottles.
9. The Designated Premises Supervisor must be resident on the premises.
10. No one under the age of 18 shall be admitted to the premises after 22.00 hours.
Public Safety
1. There must be adequate access for emergency vehicles.
2. Full fire alarm system shall be tested weekly and recorded in a log. The secondary lighting shall be tested monthly and recorded in a log. All fire extinguishers shall be checked every 12 months and marked as such.
3. Premises must be fully air conditioned.
4. The raised area adjacent to the bar must be balustraded and no smoking shall be permitted in that area.
5. The opening doors facing on to Garfield Road must be railed off to prevent access to and from the premises when the doors are open.
6. All electrical and gas equipment must be tested annually and logged.
7. Unisex disabled lavatory facilities must be available on the level and access to the premises is entirely on the level.
The Prevention of Public Nuisance
1. Volume of TV screen and any other music provider shall be under the direct control of management. No amplified or other music shall be played in the premises beyond 23.00 hours.
2. There shall be a notice for patrons to leave quietly at close of business.
3. All windows and doors to the premises must be fully double glazed and the premises have full air conditioning.
4. There shall be no use of explosive, pyrotechnics, and fireworks or of a similar nature which could cause disturbance in surrounding areas.
5. Bottle collection and removal shall be after 08.00 hours and during the day to locked commercial bin store at the rear of the premises. Deliveries shall only take place during normal daytime hours.
6. There shall be no sale of hot food for consumption off the premises.
7. A fully approved ventilation/extraction system for the kitchens must have been implemented.
The Protection of Children From Harm
1. Children shall only be admitted to the premises in the company of a responsible adult, and not after 22.00 hours.
2. There shall be no smoking in the raised area.
3. This shall be a family oriented premises including large range of soft drinks and children's food portions.
4. As above the premises policy must be if in doubt about age, then service of alcohol shall be refused unless ID is provided which will include photographic evidence. The staff must be fully trained.
5. There shall be no intention to provide "adult" entertainment. The large screen TVs shall be for the presentation of live television programmes, mainly consisting of news/sport. When DVDs are played these shall be of films with a suitable classification or music DVDs.
6. The two AWP's must be situated within immediate sightline of the bar and have built in age notices.
7. There must be no cigarette sales on the premises, either from machine or at the bar.
8. The Premises shall operate the Portman Identification Scheme.
