CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
Prevention of Crime and Disorder
1. Staff shall not tolerate rude, aggressive or threatening behaviour.
2. The library byelaws, rules and regulations shall be followed.
3. No alcohol or drugs shall be permitted.
Public Safety
1. The number of people attending events must be controlled.
2. Fire fighting equipment must be checked and serviced regularly.
3. Fire drills must be undertaken regularly.
4. Staff shall be trained in first aid, fire awareness and health and safety.
5. A first aid box must be available.
The Prevention of Public Nuisance
1. Noise during activities must not be audible outside of the building.
2. Staff shall assess the impact of noise on other library users.
3. Numbers of attendees shall be restricted.
The Protection of Children from Harm
1. The library policy on the safety of children in the library must be followed.
