The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
1. Alcoholic drinks shall not be removed from the premises in open containers, save for consumption in external areas provided via that purpose.
2. No customer carrying open bottles upon entry shall be omitted to the premises at any time the premises is open to the public.
3. It is considered that for the nature of the operation, door supervisors shall not be required; however they will undertake a risk assessment should unusual events take place and if they consider it appropriate, will employ the same.
Public Safety
1. This premises is subject to the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Audit 2005 and an appropriate Fire Risk Assessment shall be conducted and maintained at site. Measures recommended in that Fire Risk Assessment shall be implemented and capacity figures shall be calculated by reference to the Fire Risk Assessment.
2. Not withstanding the above, the maximum capacity at the premises, while live entertainment is being performed, shall be limited to no more than 200 persons.
3. Drinks shall be served in toughened glassware.
4. No drink shall be served in a glass bottle from which it is intended or likely that a customer shall drink.
The Prevention of Public Nuisance
1. Conspicuous notices requesting customers to please be considerate to local residents on leaving the premises shall be posted up or near the entrance and exit doors.
2. Noise or vibration shall not emanate from the premises such as to cause persons in the neighbourhood to be unreasonably disturbed. In general terms, noise from the premises should not be audible within any noise sensitive premises (e.g. dwelling) with windows open for normal ventilation especially after 11pm. This shall be assessed from the boundary to the nearest residential properties, on all sides of the licensed premises. The criteria that shall be applied are;
a. Before 11pm - Noise emanating from the premises shall not be clearly distinguishable above other noise.
b. After 11pm - Noise emanating from the premises shall not be distinguishable above background levels of noise.
The local authority shall reserve the right in cases of tonal noise and where premises are attached to others (i.e. semi's and terraced properties), to make further assessments from within the residential property.
3. The volume of amplified sound used in connection with the entertainment provided shall at all times be under the control of the Licensee/Management and the controlling mechanism shall be operated from a part of the Premises not accessible to the public.
4. Doors and windows shall be kept shut during entertainment. To reduce noise breakout. A management scheme shall be in place to ensure this situation remains.
5. Deliveries of kegs, bottles, food or other materials necessary for the operation of the business shall be carried out at such a time or in such a manner as to prevent nuisance and disturbance to nearby residents.
Protection of Children from Harm
1. Staff shall satisfy themselves that persons attempting to buy alcohol are at least 18 years old. A Challenge 21 policy shall be implemented at site. Only accredited photographic ID will be accepted as proof of age.
