CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
General
None
The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
1. A written drugs policy shall continue to be in force for the premises.
2. To prevent the sale of alcohol to persons under the age of 18 years, suitable written proof of age must be obtained from young people attempting to purchase alcohol.
3. Bar staff must be suitably trained to prevent the sale of alcohol to under 18's.
4. Regular glass and bottle collection must be undertaken throughout the premises.
5. Patrons shall not be permitted to leave the premises with any glass or bottles which belong to the premises.
6. Full CCTV must be installed including coverage of entrance/exit(s) plus outside front/garden area and bar monitor.
7. CCTV system must be installed and operative at all times while the premises are trading and the equipment to be maintained to the satisfaction of the chief of police.
8. Recorded images must be retained for 30 days and made available to the licensing authorities upon request.
9. If the CCTV equipment is inoperative the police and licensing authority must be informed as soon as possible and immediate steps will be taken to put the equipment back into action.
10. DPS must be able to operate CCTV and record images upon request.
11. An incident book to be recording details of all instances of public disorder must be kept.
12. All alcohol and soft drinks shall be served in toughened glass after 9pm.
13. No drunkenness or antisocial behaviour shall be tolerated on the premises and active banning policy to be in place.
14. Challenge 21 policy shall be in place.
15. No patrons shall take drinks into the beer garden and smoking courtyard after 10pm.
16. There shall be no more than 4 persons in the smoking area after 10pm.
17. No smoking shall be permitted at the front of the premises.
Public Safety
1. Adequate access must be provided for emergency vehicles.
2. Door fastenings and notices and the seating, lighting, heating, electrical, ventilation, sanitary accommodation, washing facilities and other installations, must be maintained at all times in good order and in a safe condition.
3. Suitable and suitable lighting must be provided to the toilets.
4. Provision must be made for the collection and disposal of sanitary towels.
5. Suitable and sufficient ventilation must be provided in the toilets. For mechanical ventilation, this should provide a minimum of 3 air changes per hour. For natural ventilation the openable window space should be a minimum of 1/20th of the floor area.
6. All children’s play equipment must be serviced as per the manufacturers recommendations.
7. In the event of any accident causing injury to any person or property within the Premises, the Licensee shall within 48 hours report the same to the Licensing Authority and shall supply any particulars in respect thereof as the Licensing Authority may require.
8. Before the public are admitted to the premises, the management shall inspect or cause to be inspected all doors, exits and exit ways to ensure that they are free of obstruction, adequately lighted and that all fastenings and bolts are in proper working order.
9. Exit routes must be maintained free from obstruction at all times, and in particular, no provision for hanging clothing or storing any article shall be made in corridors, passageways, gangways or exit ways.
10. Persons must not be allowed to stand, sit or otherwise remain in any gangway or exit way.
11. All doors and fastenings must at all times be kept in proper working order. Gangways, exit routes and steps must be maintained in good order with non-slippery and even surfaces.
12. All floors, carpets and upholstery throughout the premises must be thoroughly cleaned at frequent intervals.
13. The seating must at all times ensure free unobstructed access to all exit doors.
14. All parts of the premises must be adequately illuminated and those portions to which the public has access and all routes of escape for performers and staff shall be provided with adequate means of illumination from two independent sources.
15. No portable heating appliances of any description shall be used in the premises while the public is present.
16. Immediately a fire is discovered or suspected, the Fire Brigade shall be called immediately by dialling 999. Any outbreak of fire, however small, shall be recorded in a logbook.
The Prevention of Public Nuisance
1. Noise or vibration shall not emanate from the premises such as to cause persons in the neighbourhood to be unreasonably disturbed.
2. The placing of refuse, such as bottles, into receptacles outside the premises must take place at times that will prevent disturbance to nearby properties.
3. Deliveries of kegs, bottles, food or other materials necessary for the operation of the business must be carried out at such a time or in such a manner as to prevent nuisance and disturbance to nearby residents.
4. The Licensee must ensure that staff who arrive early morning or depart late at night when the business has ceased trading conduct themselves in such a manner to avoid causing disturbance to nearby residents.
5. Patrons must be asked not to stand around talking in the street outside the premises or any car park, and asked to leave the vicinity quickly and quietly.
6. A specific taxi operator must be nominated for staff and customers use. The company's telephone number shall be advertised to customers. The operator, and all drivers, shall be aware that they should arrive and depart as quietly as possible, should not sound vehicle horns as a signal of their arrival or leave engines idling unnecessarily. In addition, staff shall leave as quietly as possible, particularly at night and early in the morning.
7. The handling of beer kegs, bottles and other similar items must not take place in the late evening, at night and during the early morning, when the noise generated could cause a nuisance particularly outside buildings.
8. The movement of bins and rubbish outside the premises must be kept to a minimum after 11.00pm. This shall help to reduce the levels of noise produced by the premises.
9. The premises shall remain open for at least half an hour after alcohol is served, during which time patrons shall be dispersed gradually.
10. Doors and windows shall be kept shut at all times whilst regulated entertainment is in progress save access/egress.
11. Music shall not be audible as to cause a public nuisance at the curtilage of any nearby residential properties.
The Protection of Children From Harm
1. To prevent the sale of alcohol to persons under the age of 18 suitable written proof of age must be obtained from young people attempting to purchase alcohol.
2. Bar staff must be suitably trained to prevent the sale of alcohol to under 18's.
