Driving Your Car

After having considered walking, cycling and using public transport to reduce the carbon dioxide emissions from your journey there may be some journeys for which you need to use your car. There are some things you can still do to make sure you’re not contributing any more to climate change and local air quality problems than you need to.
Have you asked yourself whether you need to make the trip or if you could combine the trip with another journey to reduce the total distance you’ll be travelling and improve your fuel efficiency (a warm engine on a longer journey uses up to 60% less fuel than a cold engine on a short journey)?
Additionally, you can make sure you change your driving style through Smart Driving to use the minimum amount of fuel needed and share your car with family, friends or colleagues who may need to travel in the same direction as you.
